The next “Building a Business on Your Ideas” seminar is scheduled to take place in Cork Institute of Technology on Thursday 26th January, 2012.

These seminars are aimed at the ‘small business’ community, entrepreneurs and inventors and are organised by the Patents Office, in cooperation with The Enterprise Europe Network, Enterprise Ireland and the County Enterprise Boards  and the local Institute of Technology.

The seminars will focus on:-

• how business should be aware of and can exploit the value of Intellectual Property (Patents, Trade Marks, Designs and Copyright) and
• the support structures that are available for small businesses and start-ups from the State and Europe.

Expert speakers from the private sector will include a Patent Attorney, a representative from a company named ‘Technology from Ideas’, a representative from the Industry, Research and Development Group and a local entrepreneur.

Speakers from the public  sector will include representatives from the Patents Office, Enterprise Ireland, County Enterprise Boards, the Enterprise Europe Network and the local Institute of Technology.

The next seminar will take place on 26th January in Cork IT.

The seminar will start at 9.10am and finish at 4.30pm with a break for lunch from 12.50 to 13.50pm.  There will be an opportunity to meet and talk with the speakers during the lunch and coffee breaks and from 4.00pm to 4.30pm.
